Established in 2004, Victoria Shanghai Academy (VSA) is a private independent, non-denominational, co-educational day school established under the auspices of the Shanghai Victoria Education Foundation Limited, a registered charitable body. With a student cohort of approximately 1,800 students, VSA offers a through-train IB education adopting the IBPYP, IBMYP snd IBDP. In the Primary Years, the school fosters a bi-lingual approach with a Chinese (Putonghua) and an English speaking teacher in the classroom for maximum exposure to both languages. The primary school is part of Victoria Educational Organisation, established in 1965. Victoria is now comprised of nine nurseries and kindergartens, as well as VSA, the primary and secondary school. Kindergarten students are awarded priority admission to VSA.
